Chapter 7

I rolled out of bed and right onto the floor. I felt so sick! I had to get better for my first day of school tomorrow. I lifted myself up using the side of the bed and stumbled out to the bathroom. I threw up right away, then layed down on the floor. The tile was nice and cool. I layed there for a few minutes, then turned on the shower. I hopped in and just let the water run over me. I felt so week and lazy. I didn't want to do ANYTHING. After a while, I washed up and went back to my bedroom. I locked the door and layed back down in bed. I fell asleep soon after, then woke up about two hours later to throw up again.
"Hey, Loralai?" I heard Aaron call out.
"Yeah?" I mumbled.
He walked into the room. He had a big glass of water in his hand. He set it down on the nightstand next to my bed.
"Thought you could use some water." He said.
I nodded and took a big sip. "Thank you." I said.
He laughed.
"Shut up." I said.
"Jordan told me what you said to him last night." He said. "You were so drunk."
"I meant what I said to him." I said. "That wasn't the first time I had thought about it."
"What?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said climbing under the covers.
He shook his head and walked away. He left the door cracked open, so I got up and closed it, locking it again. I didn't want anyone to see me in the shape I was in. I turned on some music lightly and went back to bed.
"Loralai?" I heard, along with knocking on my door. I yawned and opened my eyes. "Loralai?"
"What?" I asked. I could tell it was Kim.
"Are you okay? You've been locked up in there all day." She said.
"I'm fine. Just tired." I said.
"Come down for dinner soon." She said.
"Okay." I said.
I got dressed and went downstairs for dinner. Everyone was already there waiting for me.
"So, school starts tomorrow." Kim said as I sat down.
"Tommy offered to pick us up for school." Aaron said.
"That Tommy is a bad influence. I don't want your sisters getting mixed up with them." Kim said.
I choked on a peice of corn trying not to laugh and started coughing. I cleared my throat and took a big sip of my water. Kim continued, "I spoke with Sharon next door. She will be taking you to school this year."
"The lady with the dull daughter Laura?" Aaron asked.
"She is not dull. Be nice. She is a straight A student. You could learn a lot from her." Kim said, sounding offended as if he were talking about her.
Aaron shook his head with disgust.
"Now Jordan I like. If he drove, I'd let him pick you up." She said.
I looked and Aaron and he laughed. I was able to hold it in. It was funny how well Kim thought she knew Aaron's friends. She was far from accurate.

After dinner, we all cleaned up the kitchen together. When we finished cleaning, Kim sent us all to our rooms to prepare for school. She told us to read and then pick out our school clothes. I didn't read and I didn't pick out my school clothes. I went straight to bed a few hours early.
