I woke up the next morning to my alarm. I turned it off and got up. I searched through my clothes in my closet for something to wear. I decided to go with my green Beatles shirt and little kahki shorts. I threw my hair back in a big bun, then put on a black headband. I did my make up, slipped on my old shitty Vans and went downstairs. Carla gave me a weird look. "What?" I asked.
"You're wearing your old Vans." She giggled.
I shrugged. "I wiped them down pretty good though."
"They definatly do look better." She said. "I'm just refusing to wear anything I owned before we moved in here. At least for a while."
Aaron walked up to us with his hands in his pockets and he wouldn't look at me. It was awkward. When we got to school, I walked quickly ahead of Carla and Aaron. I ran into Jordan right away. "Aaron's pissed." He said walking up next to me.
"I noticed." I said.
"Lor, I am so sorry." He said with his hand over his heart.
"Don't be." I giggled.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes." I said smiling.
He smiled. "Okay."
"Seriously, chill." I laughed.
"Did you have fun?" He asked. "Not everybodys first time is very much fun. . ."
"Well, then I guess I'm one of the lucky ones." I said smiling.
"Really?"
"Yup." I giggled and turned into my Calculus class.
We read through an introduction in our text books and we were given our first assignment of the basics. I finished it in five minutes before class was over.
"Hey!" I heard a girl shout. I turned around and it was Natalia. I sighed as she walked over to me. I saw Darren walking this way smiling. I smiled back and he waved. When he noticed Natalia, he spead up as he walked by.
"Did you just smile at Darren the Dweeb?" She asked.
"Yeah." I smiled. "And he didn't grease up his hair."
"Okay. . ." She said, then turned around to talk to her friends that were lined up against the wall.
I rolled my eyes and ran after Darren. "Hey you." I said. "I noticed you went without the grease today."
He just smiled.
"I really like it." I said.
"I used jell." He said.
"I noticed. It looks good." I said.
"Do you like Barneys?" He asked.
I laughed. "No."
"Oh."
"That fucking song just gets stuck in my head so easily, plus it's really for younger kids. Oh my god, you watch it." I nodded. "That's. . . cool. . ."
He laughed. "No. Barney's. It's a restaurant."
"Oh." I said. I felt really stupid. "Never heard of it."
"Can I take you there?" He asked.
I smiled. "Now?"
"No. Later on. Like maybe tonight." He said.
"How about right after school? You can take me home afterwards." I said.
"I have a meeting after school."
"What kind?" I asked.
"Chess Club." He said.
"Ditch it." I said.
He laughed. "I can't ditch it."
"Oh come on. Be bad for once." I said.
He smiled. "That would make me bad?"
"Oh yeah. Very." I said smiling.
"Okay." He said.
"Well, okay then." I said.
He let out a big breath of air.
"You okay?" I asked.
"You make me nervous. Pretty girls never talk to me." He said.
I smiled. "I'll see you after school."
He nodded smiling really big.
